Ann Tano was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; where as a young girl she participated in numerous community projects. This set the stage for her life's journey.
Dr. Tano received a U.S. Air Force ROTC scholarship to earn a BS in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University. Upon graduation, Dr. Tano was stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base near Boston. Captain Tano led teams that delivered Tactical Data Link Systems worldwide. During this time, she also earned an MSBA from Boston University.
Her continued desire to serve the community led her to dentistry and a D.M.D from Tufts University. Dr. Tano is a general dentist that focuses on comprehensive care and works with patients to develop a plan unique to their dental goals and needs. She is proficient in a broad range of dental procedures including crown, bridge, cosmetic, CEREC and Invisalign.
Now with the Smith Tano Dental Group, Dr. Tano strives to build and maintain long term, compassionate patient relationships. Dr. Tano enjoys spending time with her family and husband Wesley, hiking, biking, and pilates.
